I am just back from a 10-day vacation in Costa Rica, our first time there. Rich and I had an amazing trip — all the planning, reading travel bloggers’ posts, and vetting their recommendations paid off. It was the perfect balance of activity and adventure (5 days hiking and exploring in the rain and cloud forests) and 5 days of relaxation on the tropical beaches of Guanacaste — the northern Costa Rican Pacific coast.
Birdsong is one of my favorite sounds in all the world and your poem so captures their delicate power. Cost Rica! One of those Bucket List places for me!
